Welcome to the 5th Annual Red River Bike Rally

Sherman Kiwanis will host the 5th Annual Red River Bike Rally at Apple Stadium, Austin College on Saturday, August 14, 2010.

Event day registration opens at 6:00am and the staggered start begins at 8:00am. All preregistered riders (deadline August 1) will be guaranteed a Rally t-shirt
Packet pick-up will be August 12 (2pm - 5pm) and August 13 (9am - 6pm) at the Nautilus Bicycle Center in Sherman, TX, and at the event August 14 (6am - 8am).
There are four routes planned east & south of Sherman. The distances available are 26, 44, 60, and 103 miles (all are approximate distances). They are all on county roads with little traffic in the beautiful north Texas country. Yes, we have some hills! For the expert riders, the elevation change has proven to be a great workout. Port-O-Potties and fully stocked rest stops will be available every 10 to 12 miles. We will have mechanics and SAG support available on all routes. Safety will always be our top priority. We will have refreshments at the stadium all morning and lunch after the ride.
All 100 mile riders must complete the 1st 80 miles by 3:00 pm. Any riders not reaching 80 miles by 3pm will be directed to the century shortcut. The total distance for this shortened version is 86 miles.
The Comfort Suites is the host hotel. They are offering a discounted rate for ALL Red River Rally participants. The nightly rate is $79 plus tax for one of the newly renovated suites that feature refrigerators, microwaves, brand-new double pillow-top beds, complimentary Savory Starts hot breakfast, outdoor pool, complimentary newspaper, and 24-hour recorded camera surveillance in all parking areas for the safety of your gear.
